Sustainable Energy and Water Scarcity pose a threat to global security and economic growth. United States and several countries across Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia have established metrics with allocated funds for renewable energy deployment. In December 2015 (COP 21), 195 Nations agreed to keep global temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees Celsius and 20 of the world’s largest economies will seek to double their governmental and/or state-directed clean energy research and development investment over five years.
Investment areas of interest include:
- Renewable Energy
- Solar Photovoltaic, Concentrated Solar Thermal, and Concentrated Photovoltaic
- Wind and Enhanced Geothermal Systems
- Electrical and Thermal Energy Storage Systems
- Low cost desalination
- Water management and reuse
